The Graduate ProgrammeThe programme is a two‑year rotational program that provides on‑the‑job training in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment for new and recent graduates. It focuses on professional development, real‑time personal growth, leadership development, and business‑specific training.
Key learning areas include:
- Senior mentor assignment and ongoing career guidance;
- Communication, influencing and business partnering across the organisation;
- Teamwork and understanding team dynamics;
- Four six‑month placements that give specialist knowledge in selected business areas.
HSBC Graduate careers offer specialist development in the following business areas:
- Global Banking and Markets – Building partnerships with clients and developing products and services for governments, corporates and institutions.
- Commercial Banking – Connecting businesses to opportunities across developed and developing markets.
- Retail Banking and Wealth Management – Serving customers’ day‑to‑day finances and future savings with roles spanning customer service to product, strategy, and asset management.
- HSBC Operations, Services and Technology (HOST) – Providing operational services, IT, software development, infrastructure support, major change programmes, procurement and real‑estate portfolio management.
- Global Functions – Supporting the bank’s global businesses in legal, risk, finance, human resources, sustainability, marketing and communications.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
- Knowledge of international business and various industry sectors;
