Responsibilities
As an Audit Manager at PwC Middle East, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of your audit assignments and leading a portfolio of iconic clients.
- Proactively manage the portfolio of clients, providing day‑to‑day client liaison and technical issue management.
- Conduct business development activities to identify and research opportunities on existing and new clients, while building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges and contribute to the development of your team’s technical acumen.
- Assist in managing and delivering large projects, ensuring key deadlines are met.
- Design the audit strategy and manage audit execution in alignment with engagement leader guidance. Advise clients on financial reporting and regulatory developments, staying up to date with changes by attending seminars.
- Manage client relations with senior management, including delivering presentations to boards and audit committees.
- Ensure compliance with risk, quality, and independence matters.
- Stay updated on local and national business and economic issues.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, caring about their well‑being.
- Encourage involvement in digital initiatives and audit transformation technologies, and promote alternative delivery models to align with the firm’s vision.
- Participate in the recruitment process, interviewing and selecting competent candidates as per PwC hiring standards.
A qualified candidate should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related academic major.
- 6–8 years of professional experience in external financial audit at a Big‑Four firm.
- Completed recognised professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, ACA, or CPA.
- Experience auditing a diverse range of industries.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Optional bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Strong project management skills, with experience managing audits from planning to completion.
- Confidence in challenging self and others to deliver high‑quality testing and documentation.
- Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships across all levels.
- Innovative thinking and support for change and uncertainty, overcoming hurdles.
- Team‑oriented, collaborative, and constructive challenge culture.
- Dedication to self‑development, agility, and innovation in the digital world.
- Promote and encourage valuing diversity and difference.
- Knowledge of audit technologies and experience using data‑analytics tools.
