Head of Financial Institutions

Doha Bank is seeking an accomplished banking professional to lead its Financial Institutions function. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving international banking relationships, correspondent banking activities, funding initiatives, and cross-border business growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to formulate and execute growth strategies, strengthen relationships with global financial institutions, and enhance the Bank's international presence while ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.

• Lead and manage the Financial Institutions Department, including Correspondent Banking and the International Client Desk
• Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with the Chief International Banking Officer (CIBO)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks, financial institutions, regulators, and key stakeholders
• Drive business growth through correspondent banking, trade finance, treasury lines, and funding initiatives
• Oversee correspondent banking relationships, including the establishment and management of Nostro and Vostro accounts
• Expand and strengthen the Bank's network of international financial institution relationships to support business growth and funding objectives
• Monitor market developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, audit, and regulatory requirements across all activities
• Collaborate with business, credit, treasury, and risk management teams to optimize client solutions and maximize cross-selling opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring achievement of departmental objectives and revenue targets
• Prepare and present management reports, MIS, business performance updates, and strategic recommendations
• Represent the Bank at industry events, conferences, and meetings with domestic and international financial institution

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 15–20 years of banking experience, including senior leadership roles in Financial Institutions, Correspondent Banking, Syndications, International Banking, or Structured Finance.
• Strong knowledge of syndicated lending, correspondent banking, international funding structures, and global banking practices.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with international financial institutions and correspondent banks.
• Expertise in credit analysis, financial statement assessment, risk management, KYC/AML, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong business development, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required;
  Arabic is an advantage.
