Purpose
Assist in providing professional and technical support on all major non‑routine financial and accounting matters. Assists in all major financial system enhancements in ORACLE. Prepares and maintains all finance related procedure manuals, and reviews procedures relating to system issues, and improvements.
Role Accountabilities- Assist the manager to provide professional and technical support on non‑routine financial and accounting matters in ORACLE.
- Suggest improvements/enhancements of existing computerized financial systems. Reviews financial systems users' requirements and coordinates with IT departments to meet the requirements. Ensures that developments are in accordance with agreed financial policies and satisfies users' requirements.
- Co‑ordinate with the implementation of enhancements, modifications and new modules affecting the Group Finance Division in liaison with IT department and outside consultants.
- Carry out analysis of system reports to provide required information to users.
- Provide system user support to Finance and non‑Finance users in the company.
- Review and recommend improvements of existing financial procedures and systems, coordinates with other departments in the implementation of agreed amendments.
- Update profiles and responsibilities on Corporate Financial System.
- Assist and provide support to other colleagues in support activities.
- Review procedures for controls, systems and standard aspects and suggest/recommend changes.
- Provide required assistance to Internal, External and State Auditors to carry out their activities.
- Bachelor degree in IT, Accountancy, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in Oracle based system implementation and system audit is preferred. 3–5 year related experience in accounting and auditing/finance functions in a large commercial organization.
