Job Title
Associate Public Equities & Fixed Income Research
Job PurposeAssist the Portfolio Manager with day‑to‑day management of equity investments by conducting research, generating investment ideas, and monitoring positions. The role will be based in Doha and focus on both equity and fixed income research supporting portfolio performance.
Responsibilities- Conduct primary and secondary research, providing industry insight and actionable stock recommendations.
- Perform complex financial modeling and valuation.
- Develop investment strategies and build asset‑allocation models to maximize performance and manage risk.
- Generate periodic reports on portfolio performance, return attribution analysis, and benchmarking.
- Monitor portfolio holdings daily for corporate actions and relevant events.
- Liaise with back‑office and risk‑management teams.
- Prepare material for presentations of investment opportunities and regular updates to management.
- Develop and sustain frequent contacts with management teams, industry sources, and sell‑side analysts to drive insights.
- Assist with daily trading execution and documentation.
- Experience in equity research; MENA exposure a plus but not mandatory.
- Post‑graduate degree in a relevant discipline; CA/CFA highly desirable.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with advanced Excel modeling abilities.
- Experience using Bloomberg.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team‑working skills.
- Capability to develop independent opinions and defend them.
- Arabic speaking is a plus, but not required.
