Job Summary
The Senior Manager / Manager, Commercial Planning and Partnerships leads the evaluation, structuring, and execution of investment opportunities and strategic partnerships in support of Qatar Stock Exchange's growth agenda. The mandate spans fund manager commitments, co-investments, minority stakes, and alliances with exchanges, market infrastructure providers, and institutional partners. Working closely with senior leadership, the holder acts as the lead execution resource on QSE's commercial expansion, combining investment evaluation, deal execution, and partnership management.
Roles And Responsibilities
Investment Evaluation
- Lead the evaluation of investment opportunities, primarily fund manager commitments, SMAs, and co-investments, assessing strategic fit, financial returns, and risk.
- Lead financial, commercial, and strategic due diligence on prospective investments, overseeing work streams across legal, finance, and external advisors.
- Develop investment memos and IC papers, including financial models and valuation analyses, with clear recommendations to support decision‑making.
- Lead the structuring of SMAs, co‑investment arrangements, and partnership agreements.
Partnerships & Strategic Alliances
- Lead the identification, structuring, and negotiation of strategic partnerships with exchanges, clearinghouses, fintechs, and institutional players.
- Lead the drafting and negotiation of partnership agreements, MOUs, and joint venture frameworks.
- Own and manage relationships with existing strategic partners and co‑investors.
- Lead post‑investment monitoring and performance tracking of QSE's investment portfolio.
- Serve as senior liaison with investment banks, legal advisors, fund managers, and regulators.
- Prepare and present periodic reporting and performance reviews to senior leadership, highlighting key risks, progress, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master's degree, CFA, or MBA preferred).
- 10 to 14 years of experience in corporate finance, financial advisory, investment banking, or an investment firm.
- Proven track record evaluating and executing investment opportunities, including fund investments and co-investments.
- Strong command of term sheets, deal structuring, and partnership and joint venture agreements.
- Advanced capabilities in financial analysis, due diligence, negotiation, and senior‑level stakeholder management.
- Prior M&A experience within an exchange, market infrastructure, or financial services environment is preferred.
