Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Overview:

Manages and schedules maintenance tasks, supervises the maintenance team, and ensures all equipment and systems are functioning properly. Oversees repairs, preventive maintenance, and responds to urgent issues to maintain optimal facility performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and schedule housekeeping tasks; supervise the housekeeping staff on a daily basis; assign duties and prepare work schedules.
  • Inspect rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness standards; train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety, and use of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations; monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and linens.
  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate with engineering/maintenance teams; handle guest or client complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain housekeeping records and reports; enforce staff discipline and promote teamwork and efficiency.
  • 2–5 years of experience in housekeeping or cleaning services; prior supervisory or team-lead experience; experience in hotels, hospitals, or large facilities.
