Qatar Airways is hiring a Front Desk Agent for its Oryx Airport Hotel located within Hamad International Airport in Doha. As a Front Desk Agent, you will ensure that guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for processing reservations, handling guest queries, and balancing payments during check-out. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced airport hotel environment.
What You’ll Do- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and provide personalized service
- Handle guest check-in/check-out procedures, process payments, and manage room keys
- Manage reservations and room availability efficiently
- Address guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally
- Provide accurate information about room rates, hotel facilities, and airport connections
- Escort guests to their rooms and ensure they feel welcomed and valued
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, payments, and preferences
- Ensure end-of-shift balancing and report discrepancies to the supervisor
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs
- High School qualification required
- 1-2 years of experience in a front desk or guest service role, preferably in hospitality
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
- Familiarity with Opera or similar hotel management systems is preferred
- Proficient in computer applications and handling POS systems
- Pleasant personality with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a multicultural setting
