Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
• Train and mentor new team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure housekeeping meets high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments such as guest services and maintenance to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
• Assist with scheduling and assigning duties to housekeeping team members taking into account guest occupancy levels and special requests.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
• Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss housekeeping operations and make recommendations for improvements.

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, equipment, and cleaning products.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
