Spa & Wellness Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Spa & Wellness Assistant Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Doha to oversee spa operations and ensure exceptional service quality.

The role involves responsibility for the daily operations of the Spa & Wellness, maintaining high standards, ensuring policies compliance, and supporting team development.

• Communicate corporate and hotel policies, SOPs, and standards to staff.
• Support Human Resources and facilitate learning and development activities.
• Ensure compliance with LQE, MOQA, Forbes standards and data protection guidelines.
• Advise on safe, sound and sustainable practices and adhere to the Safe, Sound & Sustainable & Social Media policies.
• Act as a hotel ambassador and uphold zero‑tolerance discrimination and harassment policies.
• Plan and manage spa staff rosters, reservations and guest enquiries.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs to verify SOP adherence and address any issues.
• Handle guest enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face, and resolve within 12 hours.
• Maximise revenue by managing therapist availability.
• Meet VIPs, journalists and guests in the absence of Senior Director.
• Organise internal and external mystery shopping evaluations.
• Provide refresher training for Spa Concierge and Attendants, documenting SOP checklists and training hours.
• Prepare monthly training plans for the Learning & Development Manager.
• Manage end‑of‑month spa retail inventory and submit reports.
• Assist with month‑end closing reports when required.
• Maintain retail product displays and raise purchase requests via Moreton Bay System.
• Maintain the guest database in Spa Soft and forward bi‑monthly lists to Marketing.
• Conduct engineering inspections of equipment and facilities to prevent loss or damage.
• Review HOTSOS work orders and ensure necessary follow‑ups.
