Overview

In charge of Revenue, Reservations and Operator department.

Revenue Management & Pricing
  • Monitor daily room rates and occupancy levels.
  • Update room pricing across distribution channels (OTA, GDS, hotel website).
  • Assist with dynamic pricing strategies based on demand.
  • Manage rate plans, packages, and promotional offers.
  • Ensure rate parity across booking channels.
Forecasting & Reporting
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including:
    • ADR (Average Daily Rate)
    • Occupancy %
    • RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room)
    • TRevPAR (Total Revenue Per Available Room)
  • Assist in demand forecasting and budgeting.
  • Track pace reports and pickup trends.
Market & Competitor Analysis
  • Monitor competitor hotel pricing and promotions.
  • Analyze market demand, local events, and seasonal trends.
  • Review STR reports and benchmarking data when available.
  • Identify opportunities to increase market share.
Distribution Channel Management
  • Support management of online travel agencies (OTAs) such as  and Expedia Group.
  • Monitor channel performance and booking production.
  • Help optimize inventory allocation across channels.
  • Ensure room availability and restrictions are correctly loaded.
Reservation & Inventory Control
  • Review booking patterns and cancellations.
  • Monitor overbooking levels and displacement analysis.
  • Assist with room inventory management.
  • Manage restrictions such as:
    • Minimum Length of Stay (MinLOS)
    • Closed to Arrival (CTA)
    • Closed to Departure (CTD)
System Administration
  • Maintain revenue management systems (RMS) and property management systems (PMS).
  • Verify accuracy of rates, inventory, and forecasting data.
  • Generate system reports and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with:
    • Front Office
    • Reservations
    • Sales
    • Marketing
    • Finance
  • Support group pricing decisions and contract evaluations.
  • Communicate revenue strategies to operational teams.
Common Daily Tasks
  • Review previous day's performance.
  • Check occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Analyze pickup and cancellation reports.
  • Review competitor rates.
  • Adjust pricing and inventory if needed.
  • Monitor OTA and direct booking channels.
  • Prepare management reports.
  • Attend revenue or commercial meetings.
  • Key Skills Required
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
    • Revenue management principles.
    • Data interpretation and forecasting.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Communication and presentation skills.
