- Resolve guest and associate complaints quickly and efficiently, maintaining positive guest and associate interactions.
- Execute and support guest service standards and hotel brand standards, driving guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Understand guest needs and recommend appropriate features and services to exceed expectations.
- Greet guests, seat them accordingly, and inform the team of special attention guests.
- Provide excellent service to all associates in other departments as appropriate.
- Establish rapport with guests, ensuring regular guests are recognized and greeted.
- Collaborate with other restaurant associates flexibly to support overall hotel success.
- Answer all incoming calls with correct telephone etiquette, promptly and courteously, and ensure accurate telephone messages.
- Provide up‑to‑date information on the restaurant menus and hotel offerings.
- Assist in maximizing table occupancy and filtering clientele, staying aware of future booking constraints.
- Be fully aware of special table allocations and policy restrictions.
- Monitor and trace all confirmations by phone or email, keeping a record in an organized manner.
- Handle all payment methods correctly, including credit cards and other forms of payment.
- Attend briefings, tastings, and core training to fully understand product and menu items.
- Complete assessments and tests as required.
- Understand the flow of service during service periods, flexing roles as necessary.
- Follow opening and closing checklists.
- Perform cashier functions and follow Micros cashiering procedures, balancing cash and credit card charges and remitting cash to the back‑office safe.
- Check bookings on Open Table and print booking sheets for briefing.
- Ensure all reservations are communicated to the manager or supervisor on duty in a detailed handover.
- Efficiently manage guest arrivals and departures, keeping the booking system updated.
- Acknowledge and welcome all arriving guests, bid farewell to departing guests, leaving them with a good and professional lasting impression.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene according to hotel and department grooming standards.
- Grow and improve skills through training, assessment, and performance reviews.
- Be creative and innovative, contributing to the operation's success.
- Inform the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager of special attention guests.
- Manage stationery and menus in the restaurant.
