The Event Service Expert is responsible for coordinating and executing events to ensure seamless, memorable experiences for guests and clients. This full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar involves managing event setups, liaising with clients and internal teams, and overseeing the delivery of food and beverage and technical services according to event specifications. Daily tasks include confirming event details, preparing function spaces, guiding guests and organizers throughout the event, and responding promptly to any service needs or issues.
The role also includes collaborating with Sales and Event Planning teams, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in event areas, and upholding Marriott brand service standards. The Event Service Expert is expected to demonstrate a proactive, guest-focused approach and support continuous improvement of event operations.
- Strong Customer Service skills with a commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence.
- Event Planning and Event Management abilities to coordinate logistics, setups, and on-site execution.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction with guests and internal teams.
- Basic Sales and upselling skills to support event-related revenue opportunities.
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or banquet operations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
- Comfort with physically active work, including standing for extended periods and handling event equipment safely.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with the ability to represent the Marriott brand standards.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages common in the region are an advantage.
