The Blue-Collar Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for the full-life-lifecycle recruitment of skilled, semi-skilled, and industrial workers. This fast-paced role requires a recruiter who is adept at high-volume recruiting, can work efficiently, and understands the unique motivations of the blue-collar workforce. You will be the first point of contact for candidates and will play a critical role in filling essential operational roles quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- High-Volume Sourcing:
Proactively source candidates using online boards (Indeed, Naukri Gulf), social media, local community resources, job fairs, manpower agencies, and employee referral programs. - Rapid Screening:
Conduct efficient phone screens to verify candidates' technical skills, experience, availability, and eligibility to work. Focus on criteria such as licenses, certifications, and physical capabilities. - Candidate Pipelining:
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of pre-qualified candidates for high-turnover and critical roles to meet fluctuating staffing demands. - Coordination & Scheduling:
Manage the logistics for interviews, practical assessments, and onboarding/orientation sessions. - Compliance & Onboarding:
Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed, including background checks, drug screens, and verification of certifications. Guide candidates through the onboarding paperwork. - Hiring Manager Partnership:
Work closely with operations and site managers to understand immediate staffing needs and the specific requirements of each role (e.g., forklift operator, welder, machine technician, warehouse associate). - ATS Management:
Accurately document all candidate interactions and status updates within the Applicant Tracking System.
Experience:
- Must have completed bachelor's degree.
- 6 to 18 months of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced recruitment environment such as a staffing agency, industrial RPO, or a manufacturing/logistics company.
- Proven experience recruiting for blue-collar, industrial, or skilled trades positions.
- Experience with use of AI tools.
- Familiarity with a major Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Excellent and clear communication skills, with the ability to connect with a diverse candidate pool. Fluency in spoken English, Hindi, Urdu.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage a high number of open requisitions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a resilient, "can-do" attitude.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, especially regarding compliance and documentation.
- Goal-oriented and able to meet and exceed weekly and monthly hiring targets.
