Overview

Assessment Manager – Human Resources at Qatar Airways in Doha, Qatar is a senior talent assessment role within the Talent Acquisition function. The position focuses on delivering evidence‑based assessment tools, competency frameworks, and selection methodologies that support hiring, development, and optimization of top talent across the Qatar Airways Group, including safety‑critical and pilot roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion the Qatar Airways Group business psychology strategy and assessment framework across the organization.
  • Deliver and promote evidence‑based selection processes with clearly defined stakeholder roles and performance expectations.
  • Partner with internal business units and HR teams to provide talent insights, data, and assessment recommendations.
  • Support recruiters and talent management teams on assessment best practices, results interpretation, and decision‑making.
  • Provide guidance on assessment criteria, scoring matrices, and selection tools used for hiring and development.
  • Engage internal stakeholders on business psychology initiatives and deliver assessment‑related training or coaching.
  • Apply job analysis and competency modelling techniques to define technical and behavioural competencies.
  • Support assessment processes across a wide range of roles to ensure appropriate and consistent selection criteria.
  • Conduct interviews and assessment centers for pilot recruitment in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver training on ethical use of assessment tools to support attraction, hiring, development, and retention of talent.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 6 years of job‑related experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
  • Registration with a recognized psychological association and in good standing.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing selection and development assessments for diverse work forces.
  • Strong knowledge of psychometric methodologies and talent management practices.
  • Project management experience with strong analytical capability.
  • Ability to adapt and perform effectively under pressure.
