Operation Manager

Doha, Qatar

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operation Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of our city gas distribution system. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing O&M teams, utilities, and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead, manage, and supervise the Operations & Maintenance activities of the city gas distribution system.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and codes including GEM, NFPA, BS, and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and operational readiness of gas distribution assets.
• Manage contractors, utilities, and service providers to achieve operational excellence.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, KPIs, and operational plans.
• Liaise with relevant authorities in Qatar such as WOQOD, Civil Defence, and QP for permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and operational dashboards for senior management.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies and risk management practices across all O&M activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance of city gas distribution systems and utilities.
• At least 5 years in managerial roles, leading O&M teams and managing contractors.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards including GEM, NFPA, BS, and testing & commissioning procedures.
• Familiarity with regulatory authorities in Qatar (WOQOD, Civil Defence, QP) is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates (English + Arabic) preferred.
