Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager - Design to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will lead and oversee complex design projects, ensuring their successful execution from conception to completion. As a key member of our organization, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage resources, and drive innovation in our design processes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for large‑scale design initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead and motivate cross‑functional design teams, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous professional development.
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear communication of project goals, progress, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept development and feasibility studies to final implementation and project closure.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies, ensuring consistency across all design initiatives.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between team members, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for senior management and clients.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation in design processes and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Oversee quality assurance and design review processes, ensuring all deliverables meet established standards and client specifications.
- Manage vendor relationships, consultant contracts, and procurement activities to optimize resource allocation and project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols throughout all project phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on Road Design‑related projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex design initiatives
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
- Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma
- Proficient in project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross‑functional teams
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience in budget management and resource allocation
- Solid understanding of design principles, processes, and current trends
- Knowledge of user‑centered design approaches
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
