Operation Manager; Landscape Services

Overview

The Operations Manager role is responsible for overseeing all landscaping and indoor plant service operations across Qatar Foundation facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with QF objectives.

• Responsible for overseeing and managing all landscaping and indoor plant service activities covered by the contract to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and high‑quality operations in line with Qatar Foundation objectives.
• The role includes planning and scheduling works, supervising contractor staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with QF representatives, and maintaining accurate operational and administrative records.
• The Operations Manager ensures service delivery meets international standards, statutory requirements, and QF policies while fostering a strong safety culture and optimizing manpower, equipment, and resources across all assigned facilities.

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in large-scale landscape and irrigation projects, educational institutions, sports cities, or similar industries, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Engineering or Agriculture Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Ability to address critical breakdowns, lead preventive maintenance activities, and implement safety systems in line with QF standards.
• Proven ability to plan, monitor, and optimize manpower allocation based on site areas and operational needs, including preparing cost estimates and resource forecasts in line with budgetary targets.
• Willingness to work beyond regular hours when required and maintain strong customer relations.
• Risk Assessment & Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
• Permit to Work (PTW) System.
• ISO Standards Awareness – ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Incident Reporting & Investigation. Leadership & Team Management.
• Customer Service & Communication Skills.
• CAFM (Marafiq) System operation and reporting.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD and landscape design software is an advantage.
• Proven track record in managing complex landscaping and indoor plant maintenance operations in large-scale facilities.
• Ability to develop and monitor KPIs, budgets, and cost control measures.
• Skilled in resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and materials, based on operational area requirements.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to address critical breakdowns and operational challenges promptly.
• Familiarity with CAFM systems, preventive maintenance planning, and ISO standards implementation.
