Senior Manager Warranty at Qatar Airways Group in Doha, Qatar is responsible for leading end-to-end warranty and guarantee operations within Qatar Airways Technical. - Lead and manage all warranty and guarantee operations across Qatar Airways Technical assets.
- Define annual warranty targets and KPIs aligned with owned and leased fleet warranty coverage.
- Develop and implement standardized warranty processes to improve efficiency and claim recovery.
- Establish systems and controls to maximize valid warranty and guarantee claims in line with contractual terms.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-functional warranty team.
- Monitor team performance to ensure achievement of departmental financial and operational targets.
- Optimize workforce planning to ensure timely claim submission and reduce dispute risk.
- Collaborate with VP Technical Strategic Procurement on department structure, workforce planning, and budget control.
- Ensure capital expenditure and warranty recoveries align with approved financial governance frameworks.
- Build strong partnerships with internal technical stakeholders to ensure timely access to claim data and documentation.
- Strengthen professional relationships with OEMs, vendors, repair agencies, and overseas partners to streamline claim processes.
- Liaise with Senior Manager Procurement on contracts containing warranty or guarantee clauses prior to signing.
- Provide expert input on warranty coverage requirements during contract negotiation and review.
- Support senior leadership with data-driven insights on warranty performance, risk, and cost recovery.
- Qualification in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- High school or vocational qualification with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven management experience in warranty operations and warranty-related contracts.
- Strong aviation technical knowledge covering engineering and maintenance operations.
- Solid understanding of aviation maintenance support contracts and warranty agreements.
- Experience working within aviation maintenance or engineering environments.
- Demonstrated experience engaging senior stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Strong knowledge of data management, systems, and process automation.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
- Strong ability to balance commercial risk and reward within policy frameworks.
