The Electrical Supervisor role in Doha, Qatar focuses on planning, supervising, and controlling electrical maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and operational timelines while optimizing resources and manpower.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise electrical maintenance teams for preventive, corrective, and improvement works
- Supervise daily electrical maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and high-quality standards
- Conduct daily staff briefings and maintain attendance records
- Ensure safe, efficient work methods and compliance with approved procedures and standards
- Generate daily and weekly management reports on asset availability and system performance
- Manage spare parts withdrawal, usage, and availability to support uninterrupted operations
- Plan and conduct technical, safety, and operational training for team members
- Inspect tools, equipment, vehicles, and assets issued to the department
- Conduct audit inspections of electrical systems and infrastructure to ensure safety and quality compliance
- Raise requisitions for spares and services in line with operational requirements
- Plan and supervise preventive maintenance schedules, shift rosters, and improvement works
- Maintain records related to maintenance activities, timesheets, attendance, leave, and training
- Respond to emergency electrical issues after office hours and during weekends
- Inspect completed works by external vendors to ensure specifications and regulatory compliance
- Perform shift duties as required
- Carry out additional departmental duties as assigned by management
- High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification, or Diploma with minimum 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in power systems operation and maintenance
- Hands-on experience with HV, MV, and LV electrical systems
- Exposure to electrical protection systems and SCADA operations
- Experience in power plant operations and maintenance
- Knowledge of fire life safety electrical systems
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and as-built layouts
- Proven fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical systems
- Awareness of airport operational constraints and safety requirements
- Ability to prepare incident and progress reports
- Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergencies outside regular hours
- Knowledge of Kahramaa electrical rules and regulations
- Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred
