Job Overview :We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the finance and accounting operations of our Qatar region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, cash flow management, internal controls, and financial analysis while supporting management in strategic decision-making.
The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial information, ensuring compliance with local regulations, IFRS, and Group financial policies.
Position and Reporting StructureAs an Accounting Manager
, you will report directly to the Group CFO and Accounting Director, Managing Director of MEA&T, and other department heads to support the financial performance of the business.
- Manage the company's daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate annual external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Prepare variance analysis as and when needed.
- Monitor company cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and corporate governance standards.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Prepare management reports, KPIs, and financial dashboards for management.
- Review payroll accounting and ensure accuracy of employee-related financial transactions.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members while promoting continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, sales, and HR departments to ensure financial accuracy across business functions.
- Support regional finance projects, ERP improvements, and process automation initiatives.
- Follow all safety protocols and standards while performing daily assignments.
- Complete any additional tasks or special assignments as instructed by the Manager, or ad-hoc duties as required.
- Handle confidential information with discretion, ensuring it is stored securely and shared only with authorized personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
