We value diversity, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach. We are currently seeking a Deputy Engineering & Maintenance Director to join our team and drive service excellence across our networks.

• Support the Maintenance Director to lead and direct the Maintenance Department including Rolling Stock, Signalling, Telecom, Fare collection, Power Supply, Track work as necessary to ensure world
  -class operation of Lusail Tram.
• Deputise for the Maintenance Director and will be accountable for actions and decision making in their absence

• Lead and support the RKH Engineering team to execute all assigned engineering time bound work deliverables
• Assist the development and implementation of the Strategic Asset Management Plans for the assigned teams, based on a Culture of Excellence, Partnership and Sustainability and aligned with the Key Performance Regime (KPRs) on Risk, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment of Operation, Maintenance and Customer Service activities.
• Support Maintenance Director & Directorates as required by the Contract.
• Provide clear leadership and direction for the LRT and Metro Maintenance departments, based on worldwide best practice
• Actively engage with other RKH franchises to share best practice to continually improve maintenance and reduce costs
• Ensure that all managers have clear objectives and deliverables to monitor compliance, interface issues and risks
• Define and monitor the relevant KPR’s and implement action plans to drive and improve performance. Ensure accurate data collection and analytical processes are in place
• Assist Qatar Rail in reviewing the design of the Tramway and Metro systems (including all sub systems) from an operator’s perspective
• Lead, monitor and review the development of all production documentation, including department policies, plans, manuals and operational procedures, supported by technical experts as required
• Promote the company’s values, role modelling them within the business and with stakeholders at all levels
• Ensure that the company maintains high standards of ethics and social responsibility through all transactions in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensure adherence to all budgets
• Lead, support and manage special events and new projects involving the Maintenance Department
• On call 24/7 roster
• Manage the development of Lusail Tram and Metro processes and procedures for Maintenance optimisation for continual improvement
• Implement and review new robust processes across the maintenance and operations activities with emphasis on safety and quality, liaising with RQHSE Directorate team
• Ensure accurate technical data collection and corresponding analysis is optimised. Review the reporting of KPRs and communicate to the Maintenance Director, Managing Director, Financial and Commercial Director and external stakeholders on performance
• Implement contractually required KPRs and Operating Reporting processes
• Support corporate objectives. Implement robust processes and procedures enabling efficient and effective decision-making to achieve business KPRs

• At least 15 years’ experience in maintenance including 10 years in an executive position in public transport
• Degree in an Engineering related discipline
• Proven experience of leading and managing teams effectively
• Ability to manage technical topics
• Ability to think strategically, motivate and lead teams
• Demonstrative ability to set standards and drive initiatives to meet the customer’s expectations
• Highly motivated team player with sound organisational and leadership skills
