Role Overview
To lead and oversee the entire planning-execution of international motor sport and major events at Lusail International Circuit, ensuring operational excellence, and an exceptional experience for all stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilityDirect the end-to-end planning and delivery of major international events, ensuring overall event readiness and successful execution. Lead integrated operational planning across all event functions, ensuring timelines, logistics, resources, and delivery priorities are aligned. Lead multidisciplinary event teams to ensure clear accountability, effective resource deployment, and high-performance delivery. Oversee event budgets and financial performance, ensuring effective cost control and operational efficiency.
Coordinate governing bodies, sponsors, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure aligned decision-making and seamless event delivery. Ensure health, safety, security, and operational requirements are effectively integrated throughout the event lifecycle. Drive a coordinated approach across site services, workforce, paddock, hospitality, event services, fan zones, spectator services, signage and way finding, logistics, and venue operations to deliver a consistent and high-quality event experience.
Establish and monitor event KPIs, conduct post-event evaluations, and deliver clear performance reporting and recommendations.
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field. Extensive relevant motor sport/event leadership experience may be considered in lieu of formal educational qualifications. Minimum 10 years of progressive event management experience, including significant leadership responsibility. Strong operational knowledge across site services, workforce operations, paddock operations, event services, hospitality, signage and way finding, fan zones, spectator services, logistics, and venue operations.
Proven senior-level experience in the planning and delivery of major international motor sport events is required. Strong understanding of cross-functional dependencies, operational readiness, and event-time coordination across complex venue environments. Strong track record in large-scale operational planning, multidisciplinary team leadership, stakeholder management, and budget oversight. Demonstrated ability to integrate and coordinate multiple functional work streams to achieve overall event readiness and successful delivery.
Requirements
Must be currently based in Qatar. Must hold a valid Qatar Residence Permit (QID). Must be able to provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the full duration of the project.
