Head of Contracts

Location: Qatar – Doha

Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF

Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week

Working Hours: 8-10 Hours per Day

We Are Hiring:
Head of Contracts

We are seeking an experienced Head of Contracts to lead contract management activities for large-scale EPC projects within the Oil & Gas industry. This role is responsible for post-award contract administration, claims management, commercial risk mitigation, change order management, and leading a team of contract professionals to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all post-award contract management activities through project closeout.
  • Manage contractor claims, disputes, variations, and change orders while protecting company interests.
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies aligned with project objectives.
  • Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project management teams.
  • Support claims prevention, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Coordinate contractual communications and responses with EPC contractors.
  • Work closely with Legal, Supply Chain, Procurement, Risk Management, and Project teams.
  • Lead contract closeout processes in accordance with company procedures.
  • Mentor and develop contract professionals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support digital transformation and process improvement initiatives within project execution teams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or related discipline.
Mandatory Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing contracts on large-scale EPC projects within Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, or Energy sectors.
  • Proven experience in post-award contract administration for lump-sum EPC contracts.
  • Strong background managing contractor claims, variations, and contract changes.
  • Experience handling Extension of Time (EOT) and delay claims.
  • Experience with commercial correspondence, contract drafting, and negotiations.
  • Team leadership and stakeholder management experience.
