What you will be doing:
- Plan and execute a diverse menu of bakery items including bread pastries and cakes while developing and refining recipes to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality taste and presentation through regular tastings and evaluations.
- Oversee daily bakery operations including food preparation baking and plating while training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain quality standards.
- Manage inventory levels order supplies and monitor food costs to implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with other departments and culinary team members to plan bakery offerings for various outlets create seasonal menus and execute special promotions.
- Stay informed about current food trends techniques and ingredients incorporating new ideas into menu offerings.
Your experience and skills include:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a high-end bakery patisserie or hotel environment with a degree or diploma in Culinary Arts Baking and Pastry or a related field preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of bread and pastry production techniques including sourdough laminated dough cake baking decorating and finishing skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of inspiring and collaborating with staff at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
