Source Enterprise Sales/Alliances

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems. We are looking to hire Enterprise Sales and Alliances Sales representatives to drive revenue growth.
Location: Remote globally.
RolesAlliances Sales Directors own a book of business, enabling partnerships with go‑to‑market partners, hardware and software vendors, solutions integrators, and distributors.
Enterprise Sales Executives maintain and grow direct customer relationships, crafting solutions that enable efficiency and complex problem solving.
Responsibilities- Advance deep understanding of Linux and cloud software ecosystem and open source selling models
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms
- Build and expand strategic relationships
- Own strategy and development of sales engagements
- Grow customer awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu
- Deliver on targets and provide voice of partner and/or customer
- Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships
- Align and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow and transact
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to achieve targets
- Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and our leadership team
- Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in technology field
- Experience with Linux and open source
- Strong academic record or compelling narrative of alternative path
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or strong alternative background
- Confidence to speak up, exchange feedback and share ideas
- Leadership and commitment to skills development and mentorship
- Passion for technology evidenced by personal projects
- Work ethic and confidence to succeed with motivated colleagues
- Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, accountability
- Appreciative of diversity in multicultural, multinational environment
- Self‑motivation with results‑oriented mindset and high personal drive
- Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events and more regularly to meet clients and partners
- Distributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person
