Job Summary
The AMS Software Sales Manager is responsible for driving growth of Emerson’s AMS Software portfolio across Middle East & Africa customers. This includes AMS Machine Works, AMS Device Manager, and AMS Optics. The role focuses on new business generation, solution selling, and value-based selling to expand adoption and maximize revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities AMS Machine Works Growth- Identify and execute migration/upgrade opportunities within large installed bases.
- Pursue Emerson and competition VMS protection sites for upselling AMS Machine Works-based prediction capabilities.
- Ensure AMS Machine Works subscriptions due for renewal are tracked and drive customer renewals, minimizing churn by demonstrating the value of AMS Machine Works.
- Drive AMS DM adoption at competitor installed through solution selling and value-based selling.
- Track AMS DM funnel on PSS / PWS Greenfield and upgrade projects to ensure pipeline visibility and conversion. Also position additional functionality and add‑ons like Valve Link, AMS Device View & Trainings for upgrade projects.
- Identify and close AMS DM upgrade opportunities within existing accounts.
- Position Proof Check to greenfield projects to automate and standardize proof testing for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Ensure internal and external teams on ICSS projects are updated with Proof Check software benefits and leverage them to develop AMS DM funnel for Proof Check.
- Qualify and promote AMS Optics at major accounts by demonstrating value creation through integration with AMS DM, AMS Machine Works, AMS Machinery Manager, Delta
V Connector, Plantweb Insight and other systems. - Position AMS Optics as a key enabler for predictive analytics and digital transformation.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline for AMS software solutions across MEA.
- Collaborate with internal (PSS, Lifecycle Services, Marketing) & external teams to align strategies and deliver customer success.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on AMS software opportunities.
- Engage with key decision-makers to articulate AMS software value propositions.
- Conduct workshops, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase AMS software capabilities.
- Build long-term relationships with strategic accounts to drive recurring revenue.
- Action Oriented – You take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy and enthusiasm.
- Proven track record in solution selling, value-based selling, and driving software adoption.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional sales territory.
- Willingness to travel >50% across Middle East & Africa.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in industrial automation/ OT software sales, preferably in OT asset management or predictive maintenance solutions.
- Strong knowledge of AMS software portfolio and competitor landscape (Honeywell, Schneider, Rockwell, HIMA).
- Proven track record in solution selling, value-based selling, and driving software adoption.
