Senior Sales Assistant (Cigar Room) within Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has responsibility for driving the sales of specialised high‑end categories by ensuring stock availability and merchandising to required standards, while providing the highest level of service. This specialist sales position requires advanced skills and knowledge to build relationships with customers to sell these categories.
Key Accountabilities- Deliver a personalised experience with commercial success whilst representing the area in a professional and hospitable way.
- Go above and beyond to create a lasting impression of QDF as a 5‑star shopping destination.
- Build long‑term relationships with customers to maximise return customers through consistent service excellence and provide exceptional after‑sales service as required.
- Acknowledge, approach and establish customers’ needs by asking open‑ended questions.
- Present, demonstrate and sell the products through features, advantages and benefits.
- Be aware of sales targets and make a continuous effort to achieve those results through driving KPIs.
- Introduce customers to other brands or departments after serving their needs, ensuring they leave QDF feeling treated in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Ensure that any customer complaints or problems are dealt with properly and professionally as they arise.
- Maximise sales at every available opportunity to generate revenue including add‑on sales, upselling or substitute selling.
- High School Qualification with minimum 2 years of relevant job experience.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to selling.
- Demonstrate creativity in generating new business in the store.
- Effective English communication – both written and oral.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Brand specific sales training, merchandising and product knowledge training on an ongoing basis.
- High level of integrity.
- Follow personal hygiene and grooming standards as set out by QDF.
- Behave in a polite and professional manner while on duty and show the highest regard for each customer at all times.
- Be confident, pleasant and approachable.
