Summary
The Business Development Professional is responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities for the group in Qatar. This involves proactively pursuing leads, building relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively presenting the agency's capabilities and value proposition. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the marketing, tech and advertising landscape, excellent communication and presentation skills, and a proven track record of success in business development.
Responsibilities- Identify and qualify potential clients through various channels (networking, online research, industry events, referrals, etc.).
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers at potential client companies.
- Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads.
- Represent the agency professionally and positively.
- Understand potential clients' business objectives, marketing challenges, and target audiences.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify opportunities where the agency can provide value.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate the agency's capabilities and solutions.
- Tailor proposals to meet the specific needs and requirements of each potential client.
- Confidently present proposals to clients and address their questions and concerns.
- Negotiate contracts and close new business deals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of new clients.
- Reporting and Analysis:
Track and report on business development activities and progress. - Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Staying Up-to-Date:
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a business development role, preferably in a creative agency or marketing environment.
- Strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with potential clients.
- Highly motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Existing network of contacts in relevant industries.
- Experience with digital marketing and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with proposal writing and presentation software.
