Assistant Director of Sales; Government & Corporate Segment
Responsibilities
PROSPECTIVE ACCOUNTS:
Identify prospective accounts and establish goals for Key Accounts by analyzing historical data and other statistical information, conducting account interviews, and preparing customer action plans.
FAIRS:
Attend fairs to represent the Hotel and/or region, following the action plan within the Business Marketing Plan. Fairs are attended in coordination with the Regional or Corporate Sales.
DOMESTIC MARKET:
Prioritize sales activities in this market for local travel trade and corporate accounts.
INTERNATIONAL MARKET:
Work in close coordination with the Country Director of Sales, following internal regulations.
ROOMS:
Coordinate room availability during high booking periods; final approval for availability taken by Hotel operations management.
MARKET MIX:
Emphasize the right market mix to maintain product quality and minimize market dependence long term.
CO-ORDINATION:
Hold regular meetings with hotel operations, Rooms Division, Reservations, and Food & Beverage to exchange information and solve problems. Reduce administrative work to achieve a minimum of 5-7 personal sales courtesy calls per day and 10 telephone sales courtesy calls per day, without affecting promptness of correspondence to accounts. Ensure all incoming correspondence (inquiries, requests, offers, confirmations, etc.) are attended to and replied in due time.
Master Degree in Marketing or Diploma in vocational hospitality, with 8-10 years experience in a 4-5 star Hotel.
