AC Mechanic

Job Summary

The AC Mechanic is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial HVAC and air‑conditioning systems used in a cement plant. The role ensures reliable cooling and ventilation for control rooms, electrical rooms, laboratories, and office areas to support uninterrupted plant operations.

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of industrial HVAC systems.
• Maintain chillers, AHUs, packaged ACs, split ACs, window AC and ventilation systems.
• Service AC units in CCR/control rooms, MCC rooms, electrical rooms, labs, and offices.
• Diagnose and repair faults in compressors, motors, valves, thermostats, sensors, and control circuits.
• Handle refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak detection safely.
• Monitor system performance and maintain maintenance records/logbooks.
• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams during shutdowns and major repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and plant rules.
• Maintain cooling efficiency in high‑temperature and dusty plant environments.

• ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / HVAC / Mechanical
• Valid HVAC or refrigeration certification preferred.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in industrial HVAC maintenance.
• Experience in cement plant / power plant / steel plant / heavy industry preferred.
