Heavy Equipment Operator, Construction Labor / Trades, Crane Operator, Installation Technician
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Rigger to assist in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment at project sites. The Rigger will work closely with crane operators and lifting supervisors to ensure all rigging and lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently in compliance with project and safety standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and set up rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, chains, hooks, and blocks for lifting operations.
Inspect rigging gear and lifting accessories to ensure they are in good condition and certified for use.
Safely attach and detach loads to cranes, hoists, or other lifting devices.
Communicate effectively with the crane operator using standard hand signals or radios.
Assist in the planning and execution of lifting operations as directed by the Lifting or Rigging Supervisor.
Ensure the load is balanced, secured, and stable before lifting.
Maintain housekeeping and organize rigging tools in designated storage areas.
Report any unsafe practices, equipment defects, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Follow all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations and site-specific safety procedures.
Qualifications & ExperienceValid Rigger Certificate (Level 1, 2, or
3) from a recognized authority (e.g., TUV, Qatar Energy approved, or equivalent).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a rigger in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of rigging practices, lifting techniques, and load calculations.
Familiarity with lifting plans, equipment capacities, and signal communication.
Ability to work under pressure and in varying site conditions.
Physically fit and safety-oriented individual.
Skills RequiredExcellent teamwork and coordination with crane and lifting teams.
Strong awareness of lifting safety and hazard control.
Ability to interpret instructions and execute tasks accurately.
Good communication and alertness during lifting activities.
Attention to detail and responsibility in handling rigging gear.
