Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with strong hands-on expertise in Carrier screw chillers
, specifically Carrier model 30XA1312-A000-2PE
, to support the maintenance and repair of chillers at a large commercial building. The role will focus on diagnosing, repairing, and optimizing the performance of chilled water systems to ensure reliable building cooling operations.
- Chiller Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Carrier screw chillers
, with focus on model 30XA1312-A000-2PE - Diagnose system faults, alarms, and performance issues in chilled water systems
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, and control troubleshooting on screw chillers
- Replace faulty components, sensors, valves, compressors, and controls as required
- Ensure chillers operate within design efficiency and manufacturer specifications
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Carrier screw chillers
- System Performance & Reliability
- Monitor operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, and load
- Identify root causes of recurring failures or inefficiencies
- Recommend technical solutions to stabilize and improve chiller performance
- Coordinate with facilities and building management for shutdowns and testing
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service logs, fault reports, and maintenance records
- Prepare technical reports on equipment condition and required repairs
- Support warranty claims and vendor coordination when required
- Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Carrier screw chillers
- Proven experience working on Carrier model 30XA series (or similar)
- Solid knowledge of:
- Screw compressors
- Chilled water systems
- HVAC electrical and control circuits
- Refrigeration cycles and troubleshooting
- Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working in commercial buildings, malls, hospitals, or high-rise facilities
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and technical manuals
