Rigger- Offshore
Job Purpose:
To perform safe and efficient rigging operations for lifting and positioning materials and equipment on offshore platforms in accordance with company client and QP safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:Perform rigging and slinging operations in support of offshore construction maintenance and lifting activities.
Select and inspect lifting equipment such as slings, shackles, hooks and chains before use.
Assist in setting up and dismantling rigging gear and equipment.
Ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and according to the lifting plan and supervisor's instructions.
Communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals and radios.
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting, swinging or accidents during lifting and movement.
Maintain good housekeeping and ensure rigging tools and equipment are stored properly after use.
Comply with all health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures during operations.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
Mandatory Requirement:
All candidates must have completed Qatar LNG training. Valid RLIC Gate Pass
- Must be at least 30 years of age and physically fit for offshore work.
- Must hold valid certifications including:
- QE Medical OMF Card
- H2S OPITO
- OPITO TBOSIET
- Minimum 5 years of rigging experience in offshore lifting activities.
- Must hold a QP-approved Rigger Identification Card with photograph issued by a QP Approved Training Service Provider.
- Ability to work under pressure in a physically demanding offshore environment.
- Good understanding of offshore rigging practices safety and hazard awareness.
