Job Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical electrical and electronic problems in diesel engines used in trucks buses construction and agricultural equipment. Perform repairs and maintenance on engines fuel systems braking systems transmissions and hydraulic systems. Use diagnostic computers and software to interpret fault codes and analyze system performance. Disassemble inspect and rebuild engine components including cylinders pistons and crankshafts. Conduct routine services such as oil changes filter replacements and lubrication.
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify further issues. Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs. Perform inspections according to Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). company standards. Order parts and maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed. Adhere to all workplace safety standards and environmental regulations for waste disposal.
