Cold Insulator
Madre Integrated Engineering | Full time
Assist in installing and maintaining insulation materials (foam, fiberglass, cellular glass, etc.) for cold systems like refrigeration, chilled water lines, and cryogenic equipment.
Surface Preparation:
Clean and prepare surfaces before insulation (removing rust, dust, moisture, or oil).
Transport insulation materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites or scaffolding.
Help in cutting, fitting, and securing insulation materials under the direction of senior insulators.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols including wearing proper PPE and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) for materials used.
Sealing and Wrapping:
Assist in sealing joints and applying vapor barriers to prevent condensation and improve thermal efficiency.
RequirementsPhysical Fitness:
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces.
Experience:
Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles.
Knowledge:
Basic understanding of insulation materials, tools, and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers).
Team Player:
Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers.

Comfortable working in cold environments, outdoors, or at heights.
Communication:
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
