Job SummaryThe HVAC Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems and their associated electrical, electronic, PLC, and DDC control systems. The role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safe operation of HVAC systems in buildings and industrial facilities, in compliance with applicable standards and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities HVAC Operation & MaintenanceInspect, test, service, repair, and maintain all types of refrigeration, forced air heating, and ventilation systems

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Diagnose system faults and carry out repairs on electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.
Control Systems & Electrical ComponentsOperate and maintain HVAC control systems
, including electric, electronic, PLC, and DDC‑based systems
.
Troubleshoot and repair control panels, sensors, actuators, drives, and associated wiring.
Installation & Repair WorksInstall, replace, adjust, and repair HVAC equipment and components, including:
- Pressure regulators
- Compressors
- Evaporators
- Motors and fans
- Valves and control devices
Ensure correct installation and alignment of equipment in accordance with OEM instructions and technical standards.
Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate maintenance records, inspection checklists, and service reports.
Report equipment condition, faults, and corrective actions to the Supervisor.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)Comply with established HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow permit‑to‑work requirements.
Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings as required.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation:
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
.
At least one technician per area shall hold an Electrical Diploma or Trade Certificate
, as applicable.
Experience:
Proven experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, or utility facilities.
Computer
Skills:
Good computer literacy with working knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office (or equivalent).
Strong troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis skills
Good understanding of HVAC electrical, electronic, and control systems
Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, and manuals
Good spoken, written, and reading skills in English
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
