HVAC​/ICWS Technician

Job Overview

As the HVAC ICWS Technician you responsible for the operation, maintenance,troubleshooting and repair of heating ventilation air conditioning HVAC and Industrial Control and Water Systems (ICWS) supporting mission‑critical facilities at Al Udeid Air Base. This role ensures reliable environmental control and water system operations in accordance with U.S.military standards, safety regulations, and host‑nation requirements.

• HVAC Systems: Operate, inspect, maintain and repair commercial and industrial HVACsystems including chillers, AHUs, RTUs, split systems and control systems. Diagnose mechanical,electrical and control‑related HVAC faults and perform corrective maintenance. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to established schedules and technical manuals. Monitor systemperformance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• ICWS Water Systems: Operate and maintain industrial control systems related to potablewater, wastewater and associated pumping and distribution systems. Monitor SCADA/BMSinterfaces and respond to alarms or system anomalies. Conduct inspections, testing, and minor repairs on valves, pumps, sensors and control components. Support water system sampling,flushing and compliance activities as required.
• General Duties: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports and work orders. Comply withall safety, environmental and force protection requirements. Coordinate with engineers,supervisors and base personnel to support mission needs. Respond to emergency calls and perform after‑hours or on‑call support as required. Ensure tools, equipment and work areasare maintained in safe working condition.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial/industrial
  
  HVAC/R systems and Industrial Chilled Water Systems (ICWS).
• EPA Universal Certification required.

• Working knowledge of industrial control systems and water system operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred).
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar.
• Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions, including dust and high temperatures.
• Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
