Position: Foreman / Chargehand Welding

Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Leadership:
    Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the welding team; provide guidance and training to welders to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards; foster a safety‑oriented work environment.
  • Welding Coordination:
    Plan, schedule, and coordinate welding activities according to project timelines and specifications; ensure efficient utilization of resources including manpower and equipment; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align welding activities with project milestones.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Monitor and inspect welding work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications; implement and enforce welding procedures and standards; address and rectify any welding‑related issues promptly.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Enforce and adhere to all safety regulations and protocols; conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions; investigate and report any safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Other Responsibilities:

    Oversee procurement and inventory management of welding materials and consumables; maintain accurate records of welding activities including daily reports; facilitate effective communication between the welding team and other stakeholders; report project status, challenges, and achievements to higher superiors; identify training needs and facilitate skill development.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of site experience in oil & gas fields welding; experience in jacket, platform, and offshore structure welding.
  • Diploma or ITI in welding.
  • Proficiency in various welding processes: GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, SAW, semi‑automatic, automation.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and automation; experience in site execution, problem‑solving, and welder training.
  • Ability to operate modern welding processes and equipment; capability to train welders.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, planning, organizing skills; confidence, commands respect and trust among peers and coworkers.
