• Assist in performing a variety of carpentry work in the maintenance department, including repair and construction of structures and equipment made of wood or related materials.
• Repair and replace items such as furniture, wall coverings, acoustical ceiling panels, gypsum board, masonry, and undertake miscellaneous tasks such as wooden polishing.
• Design, cut, build, and assemble wooden parts or furniture as requested.
• Undertake installation and repair tasks as required by the project.
• Create designs for gypsum ceilings based on client and project requirements.
• Gauge and cut materials to required size following established processes and procedures.
• Carve, assemble, and install furniture, cabinets, shelves and other designated items.
• Read blueprints and perform material estimates using mathematical and analytical skills.
• Assemble and set prefabricated pieces, and undertake repairs and rebuilds of various objects in wood, cardboard, PVC, etc.
• Install coating montages on doors, frames and desks.
• Operate various woodworking machines and electrical hand tools.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job functions.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Report to management on major repairs and items that cannot be repaired for further action.
• Perform general maintenance work or other tasks assigned by management.

• Knowledge of standard practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety related to carpentry and maintenance work.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Agile and active with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to understand instructions in English.
• Ability to understand blueprints.

Pay:
From QAR 1,800.00 per month.

Commute/relocate:
Reliable commute to Doha or willingness to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred).
