Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Section Supervisor, this Senior Technician will provide hands‑on maintenance and repair support to the electronic and electro‑optic payloads fitted to military vehicles. The role requires extensive experience in maintaining various electronic systems in a military environment. Training on the specific systems will be provided. The position is predominantly based within a dedicated workshop but requires occasional travel to other locations in and around Doha.
Responsibilities- Operate from a multi‑purpose, large‑scale hangar facility.
- Complete all maintenance and repair activities to the standards specified in company procedures and instructions.
- Complete fault diagnosis and analysis for reported failures.
- Maintain awareness of inventory management and conform to local procedures.
- Complete system‑specific training (both on‑the‑job and formal) provided by Barzan Maintenance Shield and partners.
- Report faults/issues to the responsible supervisor.
- Adhere to local policy, procedure, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Work from other locations within the vicinity of Doha when required (may involve driving in company vehicles).
- Work independently at both the main hangar and other locations.
- Assist nominated supervisors with secondary duties.
- Lead and oversee small teams of technicians working within his section.
- Notify supervisory staff of concerns regarding defects, safety, and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the direct supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Higher Diploma / Technical‑Vocational
- Formal qualification (minimum Diploma equivalent) in vehicle repair
- Vehicle mechanic or vehicle electrical systems
- Military electro‑optic repair, diagnostics, and inspection.
- 10 years minimum.
- Supervisory responsibility for technicians.
- 5 years minimum.
- Fluent English speaker.
- Arabic speaker (desirable).
- Computer literate.
- Qatar driving licence (or other licence with ability to obtain Qatar licence).
