Electrical Foreman
Location:
Doha, Qatar. Full time, on site.
We seek a reliable Electrical Foreman to lead our field crew on active construction projects. The role serves as the direct link between the project engineer/supervisor and the installation crew, interpreting drawings, laying out tasks, teaching apprentices, and ensuring that work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Crew Supervision & Layout - Lead the morning huddle, run metrics, assign daily goals; give hands‑on directions to electricians and helpers installing conduits, boxes, fixtures, and panels; verify attendance and track labor hours.
- Train and mentor apprentices, ensuring correct, code‑compliant techniques.
- Field Execution & Blueprint Reading - Translate construction and structural drawings into field layouts; measure and map conduits, cable trays, and major feed lines; identify clashes or design mistakes; report to the project manager; perform hands‑on electrical work during complex installation phases.
- Material Logistics & Tool Control - Anticipate material needs 3‑5 days ahead; receive, verify, and secure deliveries; enforce tool accountability and ensure machinery and test tools are maintained and stored safely.
- Technical & Field Skills - Expert knowledge of commercial or industrial construction installation methods (bending conduit, pulling wire, setting switch gear); fluency in reading and marking up construction drawings, site diagrams, and electrical schematics; working knowledge of Kahramaa construction codes; proficiency with heavy trade tools (hydraulic benders, threaders, core drills, multimeters).
- Leadership & Personal Attributes - Clear, authoritative verbal communication; high organizational and problem‑solving skills; adaptability to changing site environments; calm conflict management.
Education:
High school/ITI or successful completion of a certified electrical apprenticeship.
Experience:
Minimum 4–6 years as a commercial/industrial construction electrician, including 1–2 years as a lead journeyman or subforeman.
