- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on various generator sets (gensets), including engine oil changes, filter replacements, and coolant checks to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in gensets, utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Repair and replace faulty components such as alternators, voltage regulators, fuel injectors, and control panels, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct load bank testing to verify genset capacity and performance under various load conditions, documenting results for record-keeping and analysis.
- Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a relevant technical field is highly preferred.
- Holds certifications such as Certified Diesel Engine Specialist (CDES) or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
- Has 3-5 years of hands‑on experience specifically with generator set maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting in industrial or commercial settings.
- Demonstrates proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical service bulletins.
