Role Description This is a temporary, on-site Fire Alarm Technician role based in Qatar. The Fire Alarm Technician will install, test, commission, and maintain fire alarm systems, panels, detectors, and related devices in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local safety regulations. Daily tasks include troubleshooting faults, performing routine inspections, completing preventive maintenance, and documenting all work carried out. The role also involves coordinating with site supervisors, safety personnel, and other trades to ensure systems are compliant and fully operational, and responding to service calls or emergency repairs as needed.

The technician will follow established safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment in good condition, and prepare accurate service and inspection reports for clients and management.

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, including panels, detectors, notification devices, and associated wiring.
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing system faults, performing diagnostics, and ensuring compliance with fire safety codes and standards.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and best practices related to fire protection, safety procedures, and building services.
Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping skills, and ability to complete inspection, maintenance, and service reports.
Capacity to work safely on-site, follow instructions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and adapt to changing project requirements.
Technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent training in electrical, electronics, or fire alarm systems; manufacturer-specific certifications are an advantage.
Previous experience in fire alarm installation or maintenance, preferably within industrial, commercial, or construction environments in the Gulf region.
Ability to communicate clearly in English; additional language skills and familiarity with local Qatari regulations are beneficial.
