Instrument technician

Carry out installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems.
Perform calibration and testing of pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
Install and maintain transmitters, control valves, switches, gauges, sensors, and other field instruments.
Perform instrument tubing, impulse line installation, cable termination, and loop checking activities.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
Use calibration and testing equipment such as multifunction calibrators, HART communicators, and multimeters.
Assist with commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems.
Follow PTW, LOTO, JSA, toolbox talks, and applicable HSE procedures.
RequirementsMinimum 1-3 years of relevant experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, industrial, or shutdown projects.
Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related discipline.
Good experience in calibration, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments.
Knowledge of pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement instruments.
Hands-on experience with control valves, transmitters, switches, sensors, and instrument tubing.
Ability to read P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument drawings, and technical documentation.
Good understanding of Oil & Gas HSE requirements and safe working procedures.
Valid QID is required.
Relevant Oil & Gas certifications / site approvals will be an advantage.
