Position Overview

The Multi Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance across the property, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained in safe, efficient, and reliable working condition. The role requires a versatile technician with practical knowledge across multiple maintenance disciplines, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities throughout the property.
  • Perform preventive maintenance according to the established maintenance schedule.
  • Attend to maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly, particularly those affecting guest rooms and guest areas.
  • Carry out basic electrical repairs, including lighting, switches, sockets, and other electrical fixtures.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs, including leaking taps, pipes, toilets, drains, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Conduct basic HVAC inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance where required.
  • Undertake minor carpentry, painting, tiling, and general building repairs.
  • Inspect equipment, machinery, fixtures, and facilities and report any defects or potential problems.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
  • Follow all health, safety, environmental, and property procedures.
  • Maintain proper records of completed maintenance work and report outstanding issues to the supervisor.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and breakdowns as required.
  • Coordinate with other engineering team members and departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and the engineering workshop in a clean and organized condition.
  • Ensure spare parts and materials are used responsibly and report replenishment requirements.
  • Support energy and water conservation initiatives across the property.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Technical qualification or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a multi-technician, maintenance, engineering, or similar role.
  • Previous hotel, resort, residential, or commercial property experience is preferred.
  • Good practical knowledge of general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment safely.
  • Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
