Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our young learners. Your ability to manage and communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in driving the success of our nursery.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Manage daily activities, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met through tailored learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster strong relationships and support children’s development.
- Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in childcare and early education while mentoring junior staff members.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to their developmental reports.
- Create an engaging and safe nursery environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- A qualification in Early Childhood Education at level 3 is desired but if not then candidate must be willing to work towards level 3.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others within the team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A solid understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework is crucial for success in this role.
- Experience managing groups of children while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Be strong on safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe and their well-being is paramount
