Children's Residential Support Worker

We are seeking dedicated and caring Support Workers to join us in providing a nurturing home which provides high quality trauma informed care and support to children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Worker, you will:

• Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people living in our home.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, their families, and professionals involved in their life
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
• Support children with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
• Assist children in accessing education, health services, community activities, and positive experiences.
• Celebrate diversity and achievements
• Promote emotional wellbeing and life skills development
• Implement care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies.
• Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports.
• Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, schools, and other agencies.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions.

Requirements

• A genuine passion and motivation for supporting children and young people.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work within safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK.
• Commitment to on-going training and professional development
• Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
• Experience working within children’s residential care (desirable)
