Position:
Time Served Electrician

We are looking for a time served Electrician responsible for ensuring that our equipment and machinery are wired to a high standard, within expected timelines. The role supports our operational excellence goals, continuous improvement, teamwork, and alignment with company policies and values.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1974, current legislation and company policies & procedures.
  • Assemble and wire control panel back plates, mount electrical field wiring components, and manage cable routing to meet Customer Specification & company standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical wiring and schematic diagrams, bills of material and specifications.
  • Perform earth, rotation, I/O checks on control panel & machine wiring/fault finding prior to handover to Controls Engineer.
  • Sign off worksheet to confirm quality checks have been completed.
  • Assist with electrical maintenance of our facility.
  • Provide guidance and support to electrical contractors when required.
  • Offer training, guidance, and support to apprentices and other assembly team members to increase their skills.
  • Support the integration of new product lines being adopted by the company.
  • Keep all equipment and work areas clean and organized, ensuring they are hazard free and customer ready.
  • Be available & flexible to work overtime on evenings and weekends when required.
  • Attend training courses to support your duties and development.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as an electrician, preferably in an engineering background.
  • Education in a relevant engineering discipline or Advanced NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent apprenticeship).
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Basic computer skills in Excel and Word.
  • A self-starter with a ‘can do’ flexible attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Drive and determination to succeed.
