Salary: £18.00 - £23.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours:

7:00am - 5:00pm, 5 days per week (some weekend working required for servicing)

We are looking for an experienced Mobile plant fitter to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a site-based role where you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy mobile plant. Although the equipment is mobile, the role is based at a single site - you will not be travelling between customer locations.

• Service, maintain and repair a wide range of heavy mobile plant.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Diagnose and repair engine faults using manufacturer diagnostic software.
• Identify and repair hydraulic faults and leaks.
• Repair and overhaul hydraulic rams and axles.
• Carry out welding and fabrication repairs where required.
• Ensure all machinery is maintained to a high standard and returned to service safely.
• Complete servicing during scheduled weekday and occasional weekend maintenance periods.

• Forklift Trucks (FLT)
• Telehandlers
• Other heavy mobile plant

Please note:

This role is not suitable for car mechanics. We are specifically looking for candidates with proven experience working on heavy mobile plant.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer or Plant Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic skills using electronic diagnostic software.
• Experience working on loading shovels, forklift trucks, telehandlers, 360 grabs and similar heavy plant.
• Excellent knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions and axles.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• The ability to diagnose faults efficiently and carry out repairs independently.
• A proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

• Competitive pay of £18.00 - £23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
